ASKETT is a small village within the Green Belt and the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty lying in the shadow of Whiteleaf Hill adjacent to Monks Risborough. A large part of the village was designated as a Conservation Area in 1977; there are 14 Grade II listed buildings in this area. The village has a vibrant and active community.
CADSDEN is a hamlet south east of Askett. Dwellings are located along Cadsden Hill, a steep valley on the Chilterns escarpment. The area includes Grangelands and Pulpit Hill Nature Reserves. Chequers is close by and the pub is used by Prime Ministers to host world leaders.
The main road through WHITELEAF near Monks Risborough follows the line of the Upper Icknield Way. It is the location of Whiteleaf Golf Club and Monks Risborough Cricket Club, which has a significant slope.
