The villages of Wooburn Green, Wooburn Town and Bourne End comprise a single parish within Wycombe District. Located between the M40 and M4 motorways, they are linked by the River Wye. From medieval times its entire length provided the power for milling corn, and later for paper making on an industrial scale. Parish expansion began in Bourne End from the mid-19th century with the arrival of the railway. Despite the rapid urbanization of recent decades, each village has largely retained its sense of community in a rural setting. The photographs were taken in May 2013.
