During the 1990's my wife Margaret, a freelance cartographer, used software on a PC to produce a detailed map centred on the Thames in Reading. She was encouraged to sell it commercially by the local tourist office and we established a small family business called "Map Reading" in 1998. A further four maps were produced, illustrated by my photographs. This image was taken at dawn, shortly before the annual regatta in Henley. It was later used for a postcard, a sideline of the business. June 1990*
