One of a pair of wood carvings on the frontage of “Boscobel” a timbered-frame house in Wooburn Town dating from the mid-late 16th century. The left-hand carving shown here depicts an architect with dividers. The two figures, c17th century, are said to have been bought from the Bishop's Palace in Wooburn Green after being demolished in 1750
