In the countryside behind my house there is a farm and fields that have been recently taken over by the Horse Trust (main site at Speen). The initiative adds great interest to our local walk across the fields and they have fenced sympathetically to ensure that we have options along the original footpath route or around the field's perimeter. The horses are constantly being changed and we stop to have a look at them being cared for. It feels like a very appropriate shared use of our countryside.
