The George & Dragon two-bar village pub was known as The George until 1908. It is on the A4251, aka Akeman Street in Roman times, which runs the 78 miles from St Albans to Cirencester. In 2017 the pub had a selection of real ales, ciders, food, regular music sessions and the almost obligatory quiz.
