I’ve had the good fortune to live in the Chilterns for most of my life, and the older I’ve got the more I’ve come to appreciate their beauty and variety, as well as their vulnerability. I feel I've developed a greater understanding not only of the part people have played in shaping the region, but also the part it has played in shaping me. Editing the Chiltern Society’s magazine has certainly helped with this process.
Narrowing down ‘my favourites’ from the PhotoGroup’s extensive library of images was difficult, but also great fun. All the pictures I’ve chosen meant something to me as soon as I looked at them, as I hope is reflected in the comments I’ve written.
