Down the line from Wendover station is the Bacombe Lane bridge which crosses the A413 bypass. The HS2 cut-and-cover tunnel will run nearby on the left, parallel to the railway and road. This section was still under review in 2018 when the Wendover Society were lobbying for an alternative deep-mined tunnel.
