One location I cannot omit is the tiny hamlet of Swyncombe, quiet and well hidden in the hills near Cookley Green. Dominating it is the interesting 11th century church of St Botolph where every year vast numbers of snowdrops and, to a lesser extent, winter aconites, are in bloom among the gravestones outside it.
