From the northeast rim of the combe of Barton Hills we can look northeast and see, some three miles away, All Saints Church in Shillington. It stands on a hill and was called the Cathedral of the Chilterns by Sir John Betjeman. The building was originally a Saxon monastery which grew richer and more influential through the mining and selling of coprolite (fossilised dinosaur dung), once used as a fuel and also a fertilizer. Since 2014 we also see the windfarm at Langford. GR 088302
