The Trail now passes through the car park of The Olde Watermill. There has been a watermill on this site for centuries and in fact it is mentioned in Domesday Book. The building standing today is approximately 250 years old and as an over-shot mill is particularly rare. It was a working mill up until the 1930s after which it fell into disrepair and was put on the ‘buildings at risk’ register. In 2014 it operated as The Olde Watermill Shopping Village. GR 076312
