Feoffee Yard cottages are almshouses supported by a group of charities reaching back to Henry VI (1454). Their original purpose was to house “Poor widows or spinsters of good character who have been resident in the parish for two years at least”. The brickwork is an unusual variant of Flemish garden wall bond.
