Situated in Church End, some way from present day Kensworth, the fine early English church of St. Mary the Virgin has a lovely patterned slate roof and a flint cobbled knave. The oldest part is 1150. The church is here framed by one of the largest recorded sycamore trees in Bedfordshire.
