Having experimented with other methods of Intentional Camera Movement, this was my first attempt at a zoom burst with daffodils in the garden – the yellow shafts seem like rays of sunshine.

Zoom burst is a classic technique. The photog twists the lens focus ring while the exposure is being made. The result is the effect you see here. Strong impressions of the subject are zoomed and form ghostly streaks as if they are going through time. It works best, as here, when a bright subject can reveal parts of itself as you streak the light. Nice choice of subject. Good, strong result.
