313 photos in 5 sub-albums
PhotoGroup chairman Barry Hunt Now in its 15th year, the 2019 edition of the PhotoGroup’s Online Photographic Exhibition maintains the high level of creative and technical excellence we have come to expect. Displayed in five distinct categories, the photos cover a huge variety of subjects taken in the Chilterns and elsewhere in the UK by members of the Chiltern Society. The exhibition is a non-competitive event with no prizes, but for the first time you have the opportunity to choose your favourite photo from all those submitted. Follow the link below to record it. Thanks go once again to Chris Smith, the exhibition's editor, as well as to Terry Coffey for his highly informative comments. Exhibition Editor Chris Smith I am delighted that 2019 sees a bumper crop of photographs from our members. Thirty one photographers have submitted a total of 313 images for our enjoyment, more in both cases than in either of the last two years. Five former contributors have returned this year and we have three new contributors. Although, as usual, the landscape category has attracted most contributions, the flora and fauna category is not far behind. Of the 80 flora and fauna pictures, at least 40 were captured in the Chilterns, with quite a few people taking photographs in their gardens or close to home. Overall, some 100 images come from the Chilterns with the others from all over the United Kingdom. The photographs have not been changed in any way other than by the author. I selected the cover picture for each category not because it was better than any other but because it typifies that particular category.
