The memorial gardens at Stoke Poges are close to St Giles church made famous by Gray's poem 'Elegy in a Country Churchyard'. The gardens are remarkable: the ashes of more than 8,000 people are interred here, yet there are no buildings or monuments to remind you of a cemetery.
