The ringing chamber in the bell tower is separated from the north transept by moveable pine and glass screens. The tower houses six bells, which were a gift from H W Cripps in 1878 and made at the Whitechapel Bell Foundry. They were rehung in 1900, when his widow had the tower raised, and again in 1965 following an overhaul.
