I attended Ashridge House years ago in connection with business. Only now do I appreciate not just the outside, which has been likened to a wedding cake, but also the inside which can hold its own with the best country houses in the land. A walk through the lovely beech woods of Ashridge passes this spot and I felt I just had to include it.
