Bourne End Marina on the River Thames was redeveloped during 2003/04 and in 2013 offered moorings and other services including a restaurant and a chandler. Kenneth Grahame, author of The Wind in the Willows, lived nearby in Cookham and spent a lot of his time ‘messing about in boats’. His craft were less sleek than these which seem to be more suited to Mr Toad . . .
