HMS Impregnable, originally HMS Howe and then HMS Bulwark, at Devonport. Built in 1860 with 121 guns, the Impregnable became a training ship in 1886. Photograph reproduced courtesy of Rex Barrett of Prestwood, whose father joined the ship as a boy sailor in 1903.
