Hill Farm Cottages, Hill Farm Road were farm workers' cottages. The inscription "WHG June 1887" refers to William Henry Grenfell who inherited Taplow Court in 1867 and became Lord Desborough in 1905. He organised the first Olympic Games to be held in Britain in 1908.
