The churchyard gate leads to the nearby green hills of Sundon, offering a moment’s peace in a troubled world. Sundon Hills Country Park is one of the highest points in Bedfordshire, with views of Sharpenhoe Clappers. The Park is a picturesque mixture of beech and ash woodland and steeply wooded coombes. It comes within the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with the John Bunyan Trail passing through it.
