The A40 runs across the centre of Stokenchurch's village green. Travelling towards High Wycombe, the oldest part of the village lies to the left in the immediate vicinity of the church of St Peter and St Paul.

The tower of the church can just be seen behind the chimney of the first house on the left of the picture. At the far end of Church Path is the Royal Oak pub, one of thirteen pubs in the village in the mid-nineteenth century.

Church Path follows the line of the original road from High Wycombe to Oxford.
