Opposite Trinity Church is The Rye with the river Wye flowing close to London Road. There has been a water mill here since 1235. An overshot waterwheel and a building housing machinery restored by The High Wycombe Society represent Pann Mill, which ceased work in 1967.Once over 30 mill wheels were powered by this stream. The mills ground corn, produced cloth and then paper until Glory Mill ceased production in 1999.
