Around Little Market House, known as the pepper pot, was once the hog market. More than 40 butchers traded in this "Shambles". Some 17th century timber framing can be seen in the wall of this corner building by the church gates. The adjoining buildings are 18th century and those opposite may date from the 16th but were refronted in the 19th century.
