The Packhorse Inn on West Common has a long history with an older building embedded in the 1930s alterations. Its name has been changed to The Wildwood but Packhorse Road which runs down the other side of the building stands testament to the historical link. The kennels of the Old Berkeley Hunt were in buildings at the back (now gone).
