Parmoor House. From 1860-1945 the Cripps family, who were local landowners, employers and benefactors, owned the house. The family incuded Sir stafford Cripps, Chancellor of the Exchequer from 1947-1950. During World War II King Zog of Albania lived at Parmoor House.
