Seaweed, sand and a fossil ammonite embedded in the flat shelves of dolomite which cover most of Kimmeridge Bay in the Isle of Purbeck (actually a peninsula!) Kimmeridge is on the AONB Jurassic Coast in Dorset and well worth a visit.

The ammonite provides an interesting surprise for the eye once you realise what it is. It looks strangely like a lily in this context. Curious capture.
