Many other PhotoGroup outings followed. Although we were supposed to be recording the villages, I often headed for the nearby countryside. At Burnham, I loved these pink columbines, the name I learned as a child in Devon. They said there that pink ones were a sign of fine weather – probably because they are far less common than the white, which forecast rain.
